Surprisingly, perfectionists are often procrastinators, as they can tend to think “I don’t have the right skills or resources to do this perfectly now, so I won’t do it at all.”
My entire educational experience summed up in one sentence.
My entire life summed up in one sentence.
"Girls are trained to say, ‘I wrote this, but it’s probably really stupid.’ Well, no, you wouldn’t write a novel if you thought it was really stupid. Men are much more comfortable going, ‘I wrote this book because I have a unique perspective that the world needs to hear.’ Girls are taught from the age of seven that if you get a compliment, you don’t go, ‘Thank you’, you go, ‘No, you’re insane.’"
"I have lived a thousand lives and I’ve loved a thousand loves. I’ve walked on distant worlds and seen the end of time. Because I read."
I am only half the woman I know I am,
A quarter of the woman I desire to be.
We are growing still,
We are growing everyday,
Do not stifle your own petals,
Do not deny yourself a blossoming.
"I didn’t like my name until you said it."
#Lord help me
Pretty upset right now because I worked really hard to edit and revise my paper last night (the one due today) and none of it saved (even though I definitely saved every five minutes or so).
Apparently there’s something wrong with my auto recover and it resets my document every time it tries to autosave.
Hopefully my professor will be understanding…
